Numbers 29

"And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work. For you it is a day of blowing the trumpets." v.1

Read chapter 29
So we have a continuation of national offerings (in chapter 28 there were five and in chapter 29 there are 3).  All three offerings take place in the seventh month.  The seventh month (September/October according to our calendar today) for them was like celebrating New Years to us.  The first day of the new year was bringing it with blowing trumpets followed by great festivities and joy throughout the month.  The seventh month had more scheduled feasts and celebrations than any other month; it was the time between  harvest and seed time so more leisure time between heavy occupational demands.  The more down time we have should not just be wasted but in enjoying the Lord.  How do you use your leisure between work and business to offer or celebrate to the Lord?
