Ecclesiastes 6

"If a man begets a hundred children and lives many years, so that the days of his years are many, but his soul is not satisfied with goodness, or indeed he has no burial, I say that a stillborn child is better than he." v.3

Read chapter 6
A man spends al his life discontent.  Constantly searching for more, never able to enjoy what he has.  The world we live in makes us desire big and better constantly, making us to believer we haven't reached what full satisfaction is.  They're all momentary, quick fixes that all just leave us empty.  The constant battle to "keep up with the Jones'."  But in Christ we have all we need to fill the longing and desire we're searching for to feel satisfied.  For "godliness with contentment is great gain."  This more than just satisfying, it's GREAT GAIN.  Others look on him as having what they want and it's the joy of the Lord that cannot be bought.  To not receive a proper burial shows no respect or disesteemed by all those in his life- his 100 kids- because of how he lived his life of not valuing uniting or anybody.  He's therefore less valuable  than a stillborn child who never got a chance to experience the many things offered in this life.
What is something you are struggling to find contentment in?
"Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need." Philippians 4:11-12
