Proverbs 16

A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps. v.9

Read chapter 16
Life never seems as planned.  We make our lists, set our plans, write down our goals and then we ask God to bless them.  But when the lists don't get done, our plans get skewed, and we haven't met one goal we get frustrated, anxious, depressed, we give up, play the "if only" game.  Life. Is. Messy.  There is always going to be a curve ball of finances, relationships, health, sin, etc.  Now that's not to say God purposely changes whatever plan we make (that's what I've done in the past to my brother and father being extreme type A people that I just wanted to mess their plans up to see their response- I'm horrible I know). We have to remember that God doesn't work on our plan, we work on His plan. God and you might have the same end in view but how you get there is different route than what you planned.  Our sufficiency is from God and not of ourselves as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 3.  Are you fighting God's direction of your steps with your own plans that are causing you feel disappointed?  How have you seen God's path for you be better than what you have ever thought of or planned?
