Matthew 6

"Your kingdom come. your will be done on earth as it is in heaven...but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness," vv. 10,33

Read chapter 6.
Do you know what you're praying for? What is the kingdom of God? What scripture do you know that describes God's kingdom than just what "you hope" it's like?

Isn't it a crazy and sad thing that this is one of the most repeated prayers and scripture memory people know (believers and nonbelievers alike), yet the majority don't even know what they're praying for! And then when he says to "seek first His kingdom" they don't know what they should be searching for. It'd be like playing capture the flag, yet not know what a flag is. Majority of Jesus' parables were based on "the kingdom of heaven is like..." It's what the disciples asked Jesus if He was going to restore it, it's what Paul preached throughout his ministry, it's basically the theme of the Bible.
