Nehemiah 11

For it was the king’s command concerning them that a certain portion should be for the singers, a quota day by day. v.23

Read chapter 11

This chapter talks about the people that get to dwell in the land of Jerusalem, within the walls they just built and those that were to dwell in surround cities. Crazy that only one out of ten got to be there. Praise the Lord the that New Jerusalem will have room for everyone.  Interesting how highly appreciated the singers are - even in times of hardship for renewal and starting at square one again in becoming a nation. It's easy to think it's not an important job but how meaningful music is to all! It's how our emotions are expressed no matter what mood we're in. Music changes my soul and therefore changes my attitude. It's an importance among people in acts and attitudes of worship and daily life.

What are some jobs you look down upon in importance? Why? How can you still live like you dwell in God's city when right now you're in one outside?
