And the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said:
“Stand up and bless the Lord your God
Forever and ever!
“Blessed be Your glorious name,
Which is exalted above all blessing and praise! v. 5
Read chapter 9
This chapter is a beautiful psalm of the Levites speaking of Israel's history with focus on God's continual mercy with them. A psalm about Israel's history and salvation moved them to a response. They humbled themselves and recommitted themselves to God's covenant. When they had true understating of God's words, promises, righteous judgements, graces, mercies, etc it led to confession, worship and renewal.
